Billy likes to drink soda

March 5th, 2005 / #food

So, I had originally planned on giving up soda pop for Lent. And yeah, I’m going over three weeks strong.

Soda’s bad effects on weight, dental hygiene, and “all that jazz”:http://www.agd.org/media/2004/june/drinks.html have officially persuaded me. Therefore, I think I’ve decided to give it up for good. For nearly a month, I’ve been solely dependent on water and milk, and to be frank, I really don’t miss soda (or pop, if you’re one of my comrades from the Midwest) all that much.

Call me crazy.

Hmmm…to me coke isn’t anything special as far as its taste…but man I can’t go without a swash of it in the morn’, its carbonation is the only way to clear that “just woke up and tastes like crap and flem mouth”…

Then I get that…”man this tastes pastey and minty, oh man maybe I should just gargle some water, dang I accidentaly swallowed some”…taste…one could argue, “then why not just gargle listerine”…well you see listerine does something to the glands in my mouth where I just have to spit all the time. Thus a gargle of Dr. P goes a long way in the morning…

By the way…I still brush my teeth, but offset it with coke…

Milk chug and 2 orange tic-tacs. Breakfast of Champions.

I don’t get tic-tacs…they never seem to do anything…then again it’s hard to keep them in your mouth without inadvertently (Sp?) swallowing them.

This is a not-so-detailed account of my adolescence over the course of almost a decade. Here, I shared my thoughts about things of no real consequence while at the same time being reckless with semicolons and flowery language.

I used this website to connect with folks before Facebook. Today, I sometimes chronicle interesting thoughts and observations I have. I don't update as much as I should.
